Department of Physics is established in the academic year 1971-72 with PUC (Pre
University Course) and B.Sc. I Classes. Electronics as one of the optional subject
is started at degree level in the academic year 1980-81 under the administration
of the Physics department. Computer Science as another optional subject is started
at degree level in the academic year 1998-99 under the administration of the Physics
Department. Class project – a computer literacy programme was launched by the government
in the academic year 1985-86 and our college was selected for the purpose. Immediately
in the next academic year i.e. in 1987-88 bifocal Computer Course is started at
U.G. level.
The class project and bifocal Computer Subject were
also attached to the Department of Physics till October, 1998.
Department of Physics is recognized as a research centre by Swami
Raman and Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded since 2004-2005 .

Dr. Chandrakant S.Mali : |
He received his Ph.D degree in 2005. He served as a member of BoS, Chairman of BoS,
member of Academic Council, Faculty member and Dean of Science Faculty. He also
served as a Chairman of Affiliation committee, Subject Expert, member of Research
Recognition Committee, member of BUTR.
He conceived the idea of “Avishkar” Research Festival (Arts Creation, Commerce Fair
and Science Exhibition) and communicated it to the parent University. Later the
Govt of Maharashtra accepted it and now it is a regular feature among all the universities.
He is a recognised P.G. teacher. Alagappa University recognised him as a research
guide for M.Phil.
He served as a Resource Person for three seminars. He attended five national and
one State Level Seminars/Conference. Management of the College awarded him ‘Shahu
Bhushan’ in 2006.
During last five years he organised two national seminars and one Research Festival
for students. He is a member of Indian Association of Physics Teachers and is Secretary
of a social organisation: Akhil Bhartiya Satyashodhak Samaj.

Raghunath N.Kendre : |
He attended Refresher courses in 2003-04 and 2006-07. He served as Member of BoS
in Electronics. He served as V.C.nominee, subject expert, member of syllabus framing
committee, member of university examinination committee.
Worked as a Chairman of Affilation Committee.
Participated in three national conferences and acted as member of organising member
for two seminars. |

Dr. Elahi U. Masumdar : |
He availed F.I.P. under IX plan and received Ph.D. from Shivaji University; Kolhapur
in September 2003 on “Thin Film Photovoltaics”. He worked as a member of syllabus
framing committee. He attended Refresher Course in 2003-04. He participated in
international conference at Singapore (July 2005) wherein he presented two research
papers. He attended seven national conferences and presented one paper in each of
these conferences. He was a convener of one national seminar, organizing secretary
of one national seminar and organizing secretary of university level Avishkar Research
Festival.
He is a recognised P.G. teacher and is a parent university recognised Ph.D. guide
in physics (Thin Fillm Physics). He is
a recognised guide for M.Phil. in Computer Science of Yeshwantrao Chavan Maharashtra
Open University, Nashik.
He has published
five books on physics. He is a reviewer, referee of International
Journal “Applied Surface Science”, Elsevier Publications, U.K. and International Journal of physics.
He is a member of
Board of Research Advisors, American Biographical Institute Carolina, (U.S.A).
He is a member of Indian Association of Physics Teachers and SRTMU Teachers organisation.
He has 14 publications in international journals to his credit and
60 publication in conferences / seminar.

Gitaram G. Musmade: |
He is a Lecturer in Selection Grade in Electronics. He served as member of Syllabus
Framing Committee, University Exam Committee. He registered his name for Ph.D. He
participated in four national conferences. He attended two refresher courses.
He is rendering services to the farmers for underground water detection for tube
wells in surrounding area free of cost and Project is sanctioned by UGC.

Dayanand V. Raje : |
He is Lecturer in Physics. He worked as Examiner at theory and practical exams.
at U.G. level, Worked as JCS of SRTMU, Nanded. He participated in three national
conferences, Published four papers in various National Level Conferences. Published
and attended one Paper in "9 th International Conference on Physical Sciences" at
Agra.
He is pursuing Ph.D.
in the area of Nuclear Physics. He has actively partcipated in
one oriantation course, one refresher course, participated in Curriculum development
workshops. Successfully completed Certificated course in Information Technology
and obtained A Grade.
Life Member of Indian Socity of Radition Physics., Member of Indian Science Congress
Association.
