Department of Economics
The Department of Economics is established in the year 1970. In 1979-1980 P.G. classes were started to provide higher education facilities to the students of this area. We have consistently produced merit rank holders at U.G. & P.G. level. A Socio – Economic survey of Cycle Rikshaw Pullers in Latur town was conducted by the Department in 1989-1990. - The Department had arranged a “Marathwada Economic Conference” in 1992-1993. - A seminar on Mushroom was arranged by the Department in 2001-2002. - A workshop on Impact of Globalization on Indian Agriculture was arranged in 2001-2002 A State Level conference was arranged on "Future Co-oprative Movement " in 2005. The Department has made MOU's with Yeshwant Mahavidyalaya, Nanded and Marashtra Udaygiri Mahavidyalaya, Udgir. Organized a State Level Conference in 2009-2010 on "Liberalization, Privatization, Globalization and Its Impact On Balanced Regional Development."

Attended three refresher courses, attended / participated in eight seminars, presented two papers in National Level conferences,worked as the Head of Economics Department in 1986-1987, worked as LMC member, a Subject Expert for Selection Committee constituted by Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded, writes articles in news papers on Economics from time to time., works as a Paper Setter, Examiner, Modrator, Chairman. Nominated as a member of Board of Studies of SRTM. University (School of Applied Economics). He appointed as a co-author for the book on co-operation for XIIth Arts and Commerce by the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education, Pune.
