Department of Geography
The Department of Geography is the important Department of college in the social science stream. It is established in the year 1973, initially the depeartment started with only one teachning faculty, and two students. Presently, the department has 06 teaching faculty and more than 500 students. The Department has U.G. , P.G. including regular M.Phil Course and Ph.D reasearch facility.
Sufficient instruments are available in the departmental laboratory. There is full strength for Geography as an optional subject with good results every year. Students participate in the form of poems, discussion and intelligence test, map reading under the guidance of Professor in-charge of students association known as “Bhugol Mandal” since 1990.
Geography Department has conducted two orientation courses for high school teachers sponsored by Maharashtra State Board of Higher Education. Organized National Conference on "Global Warming and ClimateChange- Impact and Approaches to Mitigation" on 13th and 14th march,2009.

Principal of the College since September, 2008. Awarded “Shahu Bhushan” Puraskar of Shiv Chhatrapati Shikshan Sanstha Latur, Teacher Fellowship Award in VIII th plan, Recognised Post Graduate Teacher, Co-opt. member of BoS, Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Co-opt. member of BOS, Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded. Life Member of National Association of Geographers, India (NAGI), Life Member of Maharashtra Bhugolshastra Parishad, Life Member and Treasurer of Marathwada Association of Geographers (MAG), Worked as Chairman, Paper setter, Moderator, Examiner for different classes of UG and PG in home university and other universities. University recognized research guide in geography from 2010. Published two books, under the guidance 05 students awarded M.Phil degree, at present 07 research students are working under guidance for Ph.D.

Lecturer in Geogrpahy since 1992, Life Member of Marathwada Association of Geographers, The Deccan Geographical Socity, Recognised Post Graduate Teacher. Worked as ‘Care-taker’ of college NCC unit during July 1999 to July 2001, Member of Co-ordination committee of senior college, Chairman of Admission Committee of senior college(Geography), Member of pre-annual examination committee, Incharge Lecturer of ' Geography Students Association which organises seminar, dicussion, Essay competition and quize test, prizes are given to the best students, Geography day 14th January is celebrated. Study tour arranged for U.G. (B.A. III rd) and M.A. students (diffrent regions) in the last three years.
Served as 'D-CAP' officer, member of flying sqad, JCS of S.R.T.M. University examination and subject expert for lecturer's selection, worked as paper setter, moderator and examiner of U.G. and P.G. examination of S.R.T.M. University, Nanded. A shouldered the responsibility as a member of organising committee of National Conference on "Global Warming and Climate Change: Impact and Approaches to Mitigation" 13th and 14th March, 2009.
