Department of Sociology
Sociology is the subject, which was introduced from the time the college was established. In the beginning Shri. S.M.Dahiwale and Shri. Udhav Kamble were appointed.
To create interest in this subject “Sociology study circle” is established and through it various programmes are organised like “The problems in the Sociology” are let known by visiting places like “Remand Home” “Certified school” interviewing the students of these schools etc. Under the guidance of the Ex-Principal of this college Dr. J. M. Waghmare a thesis was presented for Indian Institute of Social Education, Pune. The subject was, the Problems of the down trodden (Dalit) of Marathwada” in the completion of this work the Department of Sociology had contributed a lot.
This Department conducts debate competition at university level on problems in Sociology.

Inclusion of name in “London Directory” for outstanding article written on Dr. B.R.Ambedkar. “England’s Century Award” given by International Biographical Centre, Cambridge University, London. Social work, received “Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Sanaji Krutadnyata Puraskar”. Elected as President for Maharashtra Sociology Council. Received “Adarsha Shikshak Puraksar” from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Sanstha, Bhusawal (Maharashtra).
