The Department of Economics is established in the year 1970.  In 1979-1980 P.G. classes were started to provide higher education facilities to the students of this area. We have consistently produced merit rank holders at U.G. & P.G. level. A Socio – Economic survey of Cycle Rikshaw Pullers in Latur town was conducted by the Department in 1989-1990.

      The Department had arranged a “Marathwada Economic Conference” in 1992-1993.

      A seminar on Mushroom  was arranged by the Department in 2001-2002.

      A workshop on Impact of Globalization on Indian Agriculture was arranged in 2001-2002.
