Department of Physics and Electronics is established in the academic year 1971-72 with PUC (Pre University Course) and B.Sc. I Classes. Electronics as one of the optional subject is started at degree level in the academic year 1980-81 under the administration of the Physics department. Computer Science as another optional subject is started at degree level in the academic year 1998-99 under the administration of the Physics Department. Class project – a computer literacy programme was launched by the government in the academic year 1985-86 and our college was selected for the purpose. Immediately in the next academic year i.e. in 1987-88 bifocal Computer Course is started at U.G. level.
