DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 1999 with one optional subject computer science for B. Sc. Programme. The need of this department was for awareness of education in computer science in the rural area. Currently following academic programmes are being offered:
B. Sc.(Computer Science with Physics and Mathematics)
(Computer Science with Physics and Electronics)
M. Sc. (Computer Science)
B. Voc. (Computer Technology)
Some of the significant features of the department are as follows:

2. Well Equipped Laboratories with Internet Facility
3. E-Learning Facility
4. Industry Partnership for Projects and Internship
From the year 2017-18 Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) pattern has been implemented at B. Sc. Programme. Webpage Designing and Introduction to SCILAB courses are introduced as Skill Enhancement Courses. In M. Sc. curriculum department has included ASP.Net, PHP, Python Programming, IoT, Big Data Analysis and Soft Computing Courses as recent industry requirements. B. Voc. curriculum has been designed as per NSQF standards including the job roles web developer, Trainer for Junior Software Developer and Software Developer levels 5, 6 and 7 respectively.
PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES
B.Sc. Programme Specific Outcomes
After Completion of B. Sc. students will be able to :
1. Understand various concepts of Computing, programming languages, DBMS & web development tools.
2. Recommend computing solutions to solve the problems in different domains
3. Link knowledge of computer science with other two chosen auxiliary disciplines of study.
4.Develop strong problem solving, analyzing and decision-making abilities.
5.Develop software-based solutions for industry as well as research and development and develop skills required for social interaction.
B Voc CT Programme Specific Outcomes
After Completion of B. Voc. (Computer Technology) students will be able to:
1. Apply modern computer languages, environments, and platforms leading to innovative career paths.
2. Apply recent web development tools to develop active & responsive websites.
3. Design and develop software , Mobile Applications etc.
4.Analyze the enormous data using data visualization tool and various programming languages.
5.Apply & demonstrate use of FOSS (Free & Open-Source Software)
6.Understand the concepts of cyber security & could inculcate the same for the society.
M.Sc.CS Programme Specific Outcomes
After Completion of M.Sc. (Computer Science) Students will be able to:
1)Transfer the knowledge gained in the different computer science fields such as Soft computing, Information Security, programming languages, advanced database concepts & big data analytics to solve real world problems.
2)Design small executable software, useful mobile application by implementing analytical and thinking skills and deliver it in the form of report and presentations.
3)Acquire jobs in Data Science and Machine Learning areas, Grab job opportunities in teaching / research units.
4)Apply skills learnt in the field of Digital Imager Processing , Data mining, Machine learning, Cloud Computing, Networking and Security, Software Quality Assurance in specific areas related to health, education, banking etc.
