Career Counseling

Career Counseling is a process that will help to know and understand the self and the world of work in order to make career, educational, and life decisions. There are number of factors which influence career development, including interests, abilities, values, personality, background, and circumstances. Career Counseling is a process that helps us make career – related decisions. These range from which courses to take up apart from their core subjects, to deciding which internships would benefit their career. However, the single biggest decision that any college student needs to make revolves around what to do after college. College has a career counseling unit comprising of faculties and experts from various fields who cater for a range of career opportunities. Distinguished personalities from Indian Defence Services, various public sectors and industries are invited during “Personality development workshop” organized each year from 15 September, in the memory of flight cadet Prasad Shendge, in collaboration with Flight Cadet Prasad Shendage Memorial Foundation. Various departments of the college arrange special lectures at the end of final semester of graduation for counseling of students for PG entrance, banking exams, and career and job opportunities in different fields. Some eminent personalities who have guided in these programs are Mr. Dhananjay Gaikwad (Maitri group), Dr. Ganesh Rao (Director, MIT, Pune), Mr. Mark Martin (Barclay’s, Pune) Mr. Rahul Athawale (Placement Officer).
